Dear New Resident of Brookshire,
On behalf of the Brookshire Homeowner’s Association, I
would like to personally welcome you to our neighborhood. I am confident
you will discover you made the right decision in moving here.
Brookshire is a wonderful community of approximately 400
households. It has a long history of community involvement and
represents a broad array of people who care about their family, their
City and their neighborhood. After you get settled, I would invite and
encourage you to become active in your Association. You should receive
in this packet a copy of our most recent Newsletter. This is published
quarterly and will give you advance notice of programs and activities
for you and your family. These events are entirely free and if you have
children, I will guarantee they will have fun!
If you are new to Brookshire, you are automatically a
member of this Association for the balance of the year. As a member, you
will receive all of the quarterly newsletters, special announcements, be
eligible to join the Brookshire Crimewatch email alerts, and attend all
of the Brookshire Homeowner’s Association functions. Also in this
packet, please find a directory of all Brookshire residents which serves
as a valuable resource as you get to know your neighbors and Association
leaders. This is published annually as a service to our members.
In addition, as an Association member you qualify for
reduced Trash and Recycling rates exclusively negotiated for our members
only. You will save enough by this one thing in a quarter or so to pay
for the very modest dues. Again, as a new resident you are our guest for
the first year!
I know this may feel like information overload as you
have just moved in. Let me close by saying we are extremely excited to
welcome you to our neighborhood. We take allot of pride in our yards and
homes and we look forward to getting to know you better. Please do not
hesitate to contact our Welcoming Chairperson, Susan Weed at 571-1712 or
me at 844-8476 if you have any questions about Brookshire or the City of
Carmel. Susan and I, and all the Board of Directors listed in your
Directory are here to help and welcome you. Please do not hesitate to
call on us.
Again, welcome to the neighborhood… neighbor!
